Course Content:

  1. Definition of language,  language and culture
  2. Languages in the world and Turkic languages
  3. Historical development of Modern Turkish
  4. Spelling
  5. Phonetic
  6. Morphology
  7. Syntax

Course Objectives: The end of the course, student, will know the relation of language and culture, languages of the world and Turkic languages; the student will can apply the rules of the spelling; the student will/can explain the phonetics, morphology and syntax of Turkish.
Main Teaching Methods::Theoretical lectures
Assessment Methods: Consistency of class attendance (%5), one theoretical midterm (%15), projects (%30), and one theoretical final examination (%50).
