Course Contents: The course focuesses on the concept and types of social stratification and examines how certain scholars in both Western and Eastern societies think of social stratification.
Course Objectives: On completition of the course, the students acquire and develop their understanding of social stratification throughout the history in its connection with population, geography, religion and belief systems, production systems, and its manifestations in doctrines and systems of thought.
Teaching Method: Lectures and classrom discussions
Assessment Method: Written exam (two midterns (% 50) and one final (% 50)
