Course Contents: Culture; socialization; social institutions: family, education, goverment, economy, religion; social change; global change; recent trends in sociological theory and research.
Course Objectives: By sociological reasoning the student will be able to challenge prejudices; will understand cultural variety; and would be able to analyze deeply the social structure and the working of social institutions.
Teaching Method: Lectures and classroom discussion.
Assessment Method: Written exams [two midterms (60%) and one final (40%)]
